Just an update about my situation and things. I know there are a few family members and friends who like to keep tabs and seeing as how I never go on facebook they check up on me here.
(And for whoever else I guess)
I'm still living at home after moving back from Cornwall. It's taken me this long to find full time work, and I started temping before christmas.
Temping is hard, emotionally. It's like the first day of highschool, where you're nervous, you don't think you'll make friends, you're worried you'll screw up, you have no idea where anything or anyone is and you're scared you'll turn up without your homework, completely naked to class... etc. BUT unlike highschool, this is continually repeated over and over until one place says hey! You can stay, you work hard.
I've only been doing it for a few months, I can't imagine how demoralising it is for people who've been doing it for years. As well as all that, my chance at a stable income was riding on all my possible mistakes. We had one boy temping with us for 2 days, who made 2 mistakes and BAM, sayonara!
But they said "hey! You can stay". Which has taken a lot off my mind. The job I'm taking over is pretty darn complicated to learn and I've got 2 weeks to kungfu-master it but my training has been wonderful! And the team I work with has some pretty cool people in it. Way cooler than me anyway!
It's nothing artistic, but it's paying my rent and loans with a little amount at the end to save for moving out.
Art wise, I've only been drawing during the weekends, work turns out to be about 9 hours a day with travel, and I'm always tired. ALWAYS. But I have been trying!
I've started a ceramics class after hours at a local college which is awesome! We're just being taught the basics at the moment but in September I can come back and pretty much do what ever I want. My aim is to coil a large vase that's as tall as me! I gotta clean out my potters wheel and get started on that again asap so I can keep up my practicing too.
Also! I'll be getting an ACTUAL laptop soon off my grandmother-inlaw! She's up grading to the super sweet mac-daddy of all Macs but that means she had a pretty darn cool laptop going. I can only say thank you in so many ways, but I will try to say them all!
I'm in rhythm of living for the first time since my mum stopped giving me a bedtime. Getting up, eating meals, working, doing a smallll amount of exercises and going to bed at the same time each day. It's strange! But probably good for me.
And you just all watch! As soon as I can get this being tired crap out of the way, nothing should be able to keep me from doing more art things! One person can only procrastinate so much..
Anyway, this was long and boring for most, but if you got here, then well done.
Just don't be looking for rewards because I ain't got any.
Thanks again for all the support from my watchers. It really means alot for the input that you give me, you are all so awesome!
When I move into my swank-ass bachelorette pad in the city centre, you're all invited for a crazy rave.
Or whatever the cool kids on the block are doing nowadays.
Cheers folks!
